Thomas R. Meaney, age 76, died November 25, 2025 in Premier Genesee Health and Rehab Center. He was born June 9, 1949 in Astabula, Ohio to Richard and Shirley Mae (Miller) Meaney.
Tom was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Gasport Post #1253 American Legion, the Royalton Bible Church and a former member of the North Tonawanda BPO Elks. Tom worked for many years as a Dog Handler for the US Customs & Border Patrol. He was also a member of the Town of Hartland Senior Citizens Group, was a collector of Zippo Lighters, enjoyed reading and hunting and just spending time outdoors enjoying the nature around him.
Tom came from a very large family and is survived by his wife of 55 years, Annette, 2 sons: Steven (Roxann) Meaney of Lockport, Scott (Jennifer) Meaney of Grand Island, 2 grandchildren: Joseph J. Meaney, Brianna (Max) Buscaglia, his great granddaughter: Eloise E. Buscaglia, as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family at the Royalton Bible Church, 8457 Bunker Hill Road, Gasport, NY, 14067.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Royalton Bible Church as the address above or, The Gasport Post #1253 American Legion c/o Clifford Grant, 3251 Hosmer Rd., Gasport, NY, 14067.
Tom's arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport.
