Obituary of William J. Oosterling (Barre)
William J. Oosterling, age 77 of East Barre Road, died 2/2/09 at his residence following a long illness. He was born January 21, 1932 in Rochester to Jacob and Jenny(Resue)Oosterling and was a lifetime resident of this area. Bill was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army Band. A long-time member of Barre Center Presbyterian Church, Bill was the first Director of the Hand-Bell Choir. Mr. Oosterling was an instrumental music teacher in the Spencerport School district, and a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association. Bill loved to fish and was an avid woodworker and loved working in his shop
